Quinson Beaujolaise AOC Wine


  • Designation: AOC BEAUJOLAIS RED

  • Vintage: 2005

  • Grape variety(ies): Black Gamay with white juice from this virtually single-variety region.

  • Origin: Along the right bank of the Saone.

  • Soil: Selection of the best soils made of sandstone, granite, Clay-chalky and some sandy traces (on different acidic soils).

  • Vinification: Traditional wine-making process : the grapes are whole in bunches. Short maceration for 4 to 5 days. This technique combines alcohol and intra-cellular fermentation. After that, the wine is made like any other red wine.

  • Characteristic:
    - Colour: Fairly light ruby, clear and brilliant.
    - Nose: Intense with a dominance of red fruit (cherries, raspberries, blackcurrants).
    - Palate: Pleasing, very round with a touch of acidity, which enhances the cherry notes.

  • Recommendations: Serve with streaky jam, dry sausage, boiled meat, chick, grilled andouillette, aubergine fritters, bleu d'Auvergne.

  • Serving condition in C°: 12 - 14°C
